Braque e seu duplo franco-espanhol o brilho das lâmpadas General Electrics. todos contra o cubismo, voulant comme les futuristes exalter le mouvement agressif, l'insomnie fiévreuse, le pas de course, le saut mortel, la gifle et le coup de poing, o despertador, o sol, a auto-estrada, a cidade — a noção de cidade, Paris depois das 23 horas!

transcrevo o fim do manifesto contra Montmartre, que sintomaticamente não se encontra em parte alguma em francês: —

And in the evening, when the sun goes down, the brilliant beams of a thousand electric lamps will pierce the great highways filled with noise and movement.

The majestic facades with their multicolored electric signs will light up violently; the wild trembling of our wonderful speed machines will be heard, and at the window of your advertisements will wheel tirelessly against the sky, conquered at last”. (F.D.M).
